The BEST chicken marinade

Recipe:
1/2 cup Olive Oil
1/4 cup Worcestershire sauce
1/4 cup Soy sauce
1/4 cup Apple Cider Vinegar
1/4 cup Dijon mustard
1/2 onion chopped (or 1 small onion)
3-4 cloves garlic (whole)
1/4-1/2 cup white wine
1 tsp. seasoned salt
1/2 tsp. pepper
Juice of a citrus (Orange, Lemon or lime)
(I used Orange)
Optional: Add fresh herbs if you have them on hand! I didn't.
How to make it:
Put all the ingredients into a blender or magic bullet. Blend until smooth.
Pour into a heavy duty gallon freezer bag. I added 6 whole chicken breasts, but you could probably do a few more.
Marinate for at least 4 hours. 8 hours or overnight is best.
Grill:
Preheat your gas or charcoal grill to at least 500 degrees. Clean grates well. Use cooking spray (careful of flare ups). Grill & use marinade as baste. Just be sure to cook the marinade off before serving. Cool until chicken internal temp (thickest part) is 160 degrees.
Optional toppings:
Drizzle each cooked breast with BBQ sauce, (while on indirect heat on grill), top with a piece of cooked bacon, shredded cheddar cheese & thinly sliced green onions. Close lid to melt cheese.
Note: I like Sweet Baby Rays BBQ sauce!
Remove and serve immediately.
I left 2 breasts plain for my kids and they loved it!! The adults of course raved about the ones with toppings 😜
I always love to slice my plain grilled chicken on the bias and serve pieces rather than whole breasts. This will cut down on portion size.
Enjoy!!
I served this with my Baked Potato Salad & Roasted Broccoli with Parmesan.
